the DesVu house is an Italianate Victorian home built in 1850 found in the heart of the Fingerlakes region of New York. originally the private residence of Adrian Tuttle, the home and property became a residence for US salt’s CEOs from the 1920’s til the early 1970’s.

US Salt sold the property back to the private market and after a few families came and and went, it became the home of Cascata Winery & The Professors Place B&B. when the winery and bed and breakfast closed in 2010, the property exchanged hands until we purchased it in 2023.

originally born and raised in northern New Jersey, we were “that” family that sold everything during the covid pandemic and spent time traveling internationally. When we found ourselves back stateside - we discovered this home and decided to put down roots in Watkins Glen on Seneca Lake after years of visiting the area.

it has been a labor of love bringing the property back to its old glory, center for community, and place of peace.

DesVu is the of residence for our family of four and Great Dane- Zeno, as well as short term rental property.

we are in the process of adding three cabins and a small multi-use meeting place. our desire is to offer places of rest and sanctuary for travelers, tourists, and those needing a space to connect with nature.
